I am an Australian living in mexico working in Africa. i have been lucky enough live a pretty exciting life my job takes me all over the world, africa is a great country but as you can imagine it has a lot of poverty which i always find disturbing, mainly the suffering of the little children it unease’s me.
Before Africa i lived in Mexico for three years and thoroughly enjoyed it my role was similar, but i worked in several states and Mexico being vast and culturally different from state to state i always found it interesting.
I have lived and worked in a few other countries meeting different cultures, adjusting to them and learning from them is a great experience.
I work a rotational roster of 10 weeks on, one month vacation, flown to any destination in the world, so distance is no barrier for me.
I have 3 Children, one Married and living in New Zealand, my two boys still live with their mum in Australia.
i think i’m easy going i’m not quick to anger although i find it hard to suffer fools the older i get frustrated at times but we don’t live in a perfect world. i’M protective of my friends and loved ones but not possessive although i do get angry when someone steals from me, which unfortunately is a constant happening here in Tanzania, but with poverty the way it is one has to expect it and i choose to work here so all i can do is minimise the opportunity of theft.
I return to australia once a year to see my kids but have no real interest in living there again,
